Equally the first pace in creating this list of the best photographers and their best photographs, I collected numerous lists of the "Best Photographers of All Fourth dimension" and combined them into one large meta-list. To run across which photographers were on the most lists, become here. I then added all the photographers with photographs in the "All-time Photography of All Fourth dimension" lists who weren't on the "Best Photographers" meta-list, along with the photographs associated with them. I then searched for the best photographs for each photographer on the "best photographers" meta-list by identifying the photographer'southward almost-frequently mentioned or reprinted photos. To accompany the listings for most all of the photographers, I chose a photograph (in one case, a painting) of the photographer, often a cocky-portrait or a photograph showing the photographer at work.
